My Summer Update! Part 1

Hello all! I'm so excited to be back here!

So I said I was taking a 'Summer Break'. Well, I started a month late, but you know, I really don't care. I'm back now so... shush. XD

This next paragraph will either turn you off and make you leave, or interest you. Whatever happens, don't let it stop you from continuing reading!

  1. Probably the biggest thing that's happened is our conversion. Our family has decided to join the Catholic church. Quite exciting, though for a lot of you who read my blog, you may find this a bit disheartening. I sympathize for you, only because I've had this happen to me. If you wish to know more details about our conversion, why we did it, please email me at rdanhall@outlook.com and I will send you the letter we sent to everyone we could reach.
  2. As you know, I'm working on another blog, based off of legend, folklore, cryptics, and a little myth. I'm quite excited, and I have such a fun time writing it! You can watch the preview HERE, and you can visit the blog HERE. I hope you enjoy it!
  3. We've moved! We are now located in Gladewater Texas, about two hours eastward from where we were originally. I really like it here! It's a really small town too, so we can just walk up to the barber shop to get our hair cut, or if we want to eat, we can take a nice little exercise and walk over to a restaurant. We haven't made any new friends yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon!
  4. We are not going to the Philippines. The support just didn't come the way we needed to. I believe God shut the door for a reason though, and just wanted us to take that path for a bit so we could have the experience. Besides, being Catholic now, Wycliffe wouldn't accept us!
I'll have more later, but I didn't want to make this update too long.

Until next time...
Ryan Hall ;)

Do You Trust God?

Life is full of questions. Especially at my age it seems.

What will my future hold? Will I hold the same convictions then as I do now? When will I die? What does God want me to do with my life? Will I ever get married? If so, will the marriage last? Will I be a good husband? How many kids will I have? Will I have any kids? Will I be a good father?

What is going to happen to me?

Questions like this only lead to one thing: doubt in the God that you gave your life to. “What?” you might say, “How is that? I’m just worried about my future, that’s all. I don’t know what it’ll bring!”

That’s the point.

You’re so concerned with your future that you’re forgetting one simple thing: the fact that God made you, and has plans for your future. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understandings. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”

God Will lead your path, not you! Worrying about the future diminishes God’s presence in your life. You’re focusing on yourself, rather than focusing on God. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.” (Matt. 6:34)

When you worry about the future, you’re being selfish. How is that? Worrying about something always puts the focus on one person: you. “I hope I get to see my friend tomorrow,” “I hope he doesn’t take the last malt ball!” I, I, I, I. The focus is on your wants, and your ‘needs’.

In case you haven’t figured it our yet, life is NOT all about YOU. It’s about bringing glory to our heavenly Father. Putting trust in Him. Recognizing that by making Him boss in your life, that you make him the director of your life. He’s got this massive blueprint that’s being built day by day. He knows all the details and all the materials needed to build up your life.

Let go of life, and give it to God. Trust in Him, and not on your own understanding. Acknowledge him, and He will direct your life.

Song: Who Are you?

Howdy!
Today I'm posting a song I wrote about a month or two ago, because I figured I should share it with the world!
I'll be posting songs that I write, and soon, I'll be posting some pics I've drawn, upon request.
So with that said, here is one of my latest ones, Who Are You? Make up your own tune (I have!) and tell me what you think!

                      Who Are You?

Verse 1
There’s nothing here, there’s nothing left.
I’m standing on the edge of the earth.
Blackness fills the sky, as blazing stars fly by, and I, am reminded of You.
How did, you think of it?

Chorus
What does it mean, these questions inside of me?
I want to let go, but there’s too much to know.
I need to know who I am; I need to know who You are.
Who am I? Who are You?

Verse 2
There’s something here, there’s something left.
I’m standing, on solid ground.
The bright sun fills the sky, as the clouds roll by, and I, am reminded of you.
How do you continue to surround me?

Chorus x 1

Bridge
Life, is just full of questions.
The answers we have, are mostly assumptions.
The road we travel is a question itself.
But I know the answer to life, God is the equation.

Chorus x 1

Ending Verse
What is here? What is left?
I don’t care anymore.
Cause I know who you are.
